Job title: MCR Supervisor - Comux UK, based in Birmingham
Brief description: Comux UK was recently awarded the multiplex licence to launch the UK’s local digital television service.
Phase 1 will see up to 19 brand new local TV stations launching onto the Freeview platform in towns and cities throughout the UK.
The Head Office and Network Operations Centre (NOC) will be based in a new facility in Birmingham. This will house the hub of all the contribution services which are delivered from the regional areas by the respective local TV licensees. The technical area will use the latest technology and will encompass MAM, storage, automation playout, DVB multiplexing, and monitoring facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation of the facility, managing a small team of operators working on a rota covering operations on a 24/7 basis.
