Carl Potter is a Senior Director at property consultant Bilfinger GVA. Based at Brindleyplace, Carl is the National Head of Offices and overlooks the firm’s office agency team who are spread out across its 11 UK offices. His day to day workload includes liaising with clients from both the public and private sector, advising on occupational or development strategies and the implementation of development and regeneration. Alongside this, Carl specialises in the Science and Technology Park sector; his personal interest and developed knowledge has enabled him to become involved in the establishment of numerous Parks throughout the Midlands; including Coventry University Technology Park, Malvern Hills Science Park and Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park. Carl is continuously working with other regions to implement a range of other schemes throughout the UK.
Carl has worked at Bilfinger GVA for over thirty years and during this period has been a member of the Partnership Board, the Operations Executive and currently sits on the firm’s Remuneration Committee. To date, Carl is heavily involved in working with the British Council of Offices (BCO). Currently, Carl sits on both the Midlands Committee and the National Membership. Prior to this, Carl was once a Director of the Board of Management and is Ex-Chairman of the Midlands region.
Carl is indigenous to Birmingham, having been born at Loveday Street hospital in central Birmingham and presently resides in Sutton Coldfield; where he juggles work with family life, in particular the raising of three daughters.
