What makes Intelligence Works unique?

We’re about more than just cables and printers. We give our SME clients access to enterprise quality strategic IT support and solutions. It means we help them select, design, integrate and support solutions that actually help them run better businesses.

The Intelligence Works story so far:

Launched in 2008, Intelligence Works developed expertise operating in industries like aerospace and defence, where security and data loss prevention is critical, before moving to Birmingham Science Park in 2011. Since then, we’ve developed our business significantly, and now offer a full range of IT solutions to businesses throughout Birmingham and the region, from online backup, to kitting out your business with the latest gadgets.

Intelligence Works and Birmingham:

As we started to develop our business in the Birmingham area, we discovered that there was a real gap in the Birmingham IT solutions market. Nobody else was helping SMEs make effective use of technology and gain the benefits that larger firms can realise from developing an effective IT strategy. For us, it is all about helping Birmingham-based SMEs access the skills and resources that larger businesses have access to on tap. Think of us as your outsourced IT department.

When and why Intelligence Works moved to Birmingham Science Park:

We moved to Birmingham Science Park in 2011 because the location is perfect for servicing our clients, the facilities are second to none, particularly for meetings with clients and partners, and because we want our growing business to be based in an environment where we can build strong relationships with potential vendors, customers and partners.

Best business lesson learned:

It is always worth spending the time and effort on making sure everyone is on the same page with a project before going forward, rather than pushing ahead just to win a deal.

Best business tip we have to offer:

Always do a first rate job for your customers, and everything else will flow from that.
