Having a healthy amount of start-up activity around you means; moral support, easier hiring, access to capital, like-minded people to collaborate with, and relevant events to attend. All of this is great motivation for first time or experienced entrepreneurs, and our co-working space offers the perfect environment for this to happen.
The e4f programme grows the Birmingham start-up community by running and hosting groups, workshops and events that allow entrepreneurs to meet each other.
This two-day induction is open to all digital technology businesses working in cloud, gaming, social media, applications, digital technologies, clean tech and low carbon sectors. This initial period is the perfect introduction to e4f, Innovation Birmingham and all the support available. The Take Off consists of workshops and seminars covering the key topics all start-ups need to be aware of when launching a business. These include financial/accounting, legal, marketing, business planning, PR, social media and human resources advice. Nurturing businesses for over eight years means that we know the essential elements that need to be considered within all businesses no matter what the venture.
Perfect your pitch and get investment ready. Regular pitch training will allow you to develop your selling skills and ability to convey why your company is investment worthy.
Tech Wednesday offers opportunities to learn and connect with like-minded individuals, investors and industry experts. Companies can utilise this as an arena to present ideas to a group of techies and entrepreneurs, whilst gathering useful feedback. You can see a full list of the meet-up groups we host and events we deliver using the Innovation Birmingham Campus conference facilities on our events page. Or, for a full overview of what’s going on in Birmingham, sign up to Startup Digest, a weekly roundup of the best events and goings-on in the city. But it’s not ALL about business; personal skills and relationship building are important too. With this in mind, we also deliver a range of social events throughout the year such as bowling, curry nights (we are in Birmingham after all), after work drinks and the odd quiz or two.
