Presentation Skills Workshop – Emotional Resilience for Presenters
August 18, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Emotional resilience for presenters – reliably get in the best frame of mind to speak
Standing up and speaking can be an intimidating process for everyone at times. The fear and anxiety can really stop you doing your best work as a presenter. In this session, Andrew shares the key attitudes and specific practices that will help you be more calm and collected when presenting. Imagine what it does to your credibility being able to take every presentation in your stride!
You’ll have concrete things to do to lower your adrenaline the night before a big presentation, and even in those few minutes just before standing up.
Presentation books and courses only skim over this critical aspect of presenting because they have little advice that is actually helpful. The information in this workshop comes directly from Andrew’s ten years of helping smart-but-scared speakers be more confident.
About Andrew Lightheart: Andrew is Birmingham’s complex-topic presentation coach. Having coached almost 5,000 presentations over 10 years by speakers hailing from 22 countries, he’s able to offer insight into pretty much any talk that you or your people are doing.
He enjoys helping professionals take the drama out of presenting so that doing a talk becomes one of those things you just know how to do.
