Radio 4 ‘Any Questions’ at Aston University
March 20, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Just weeks before the most hotly contested and unpredictable General Election in 80 years, Aston University in Birmingham will host the heavy hitting BBC political show ‘Any Questions?’ on Friday March 20.
Chaired by Jonathan Dimbleby, it will provide the audience with opportunities to quiz MP’s and representatives from the country’s main political parties just ahead of the general election on Thursday May 7, 2015. Issues set to dominate the campaign look to be the economy and the rate of its recovery, tax avoidance, the funding crisis facing the NHS, frontline cuts to welfare services, the scale and nature of immigration and the UK’s relationship with the European Union. Any Questions?, which has been running on BBC Radio 4 for 76 years, is due to be broadcast live from Aston University’s Great Hall on Friday, March 20, 2015. Doors open to the public from 6.30pm (seated by 7.30pm) with the live broadcast commencing at 8pm. The programme was first broadcast on 12 October 1948 and has been an almost ever present on the airwaves since. The panel of guests, who often include personalities from the worlds of politics, the media and elsewhere, are never shown any of the questions put to them in advance.
