Local IT company, ACUTEC have recently partnered with Enterprise Nation to provide a series of digital boot camps on Cloud computing to start-ups and micro businesses. Enterprise Nation is an organisation committed to helping people start and grow their own businesses. The digital boot camps were held across the UK in Birmingham, Sheffield, Nottingham and London and looked at how digital methods like social media and the Cloud can give small businesses the kick-start they need without a big price tag.
ACUTEC took to the stage at these sessions to highlight the benefits of Cloud computing for small businesses and how they are now able to operate with the same tools as big companies due to the technology that is now available to them. ‘The only limit to your business is your imagination’ said Urfaan Azhar, Cloud Specialist and Infrastructure Manager at ACUTEC. Urfaan highlighted companies like Uber who are able to be the largest transport company in the world without owning any vehicles due to the Cloud.
ACUTEC were invited to speak at the Enterprise Nation boot camps by Microsoft, who they work with closely to ensure that they are able to provide the best possible solutions for their clients. At the boot camps, ACUTEC showcased the power of products like Office 365 and how they can help to transform businesses through the flexibility and productivity they can offer through an affordable price. The smallest of companies are now able operate with the same technologies that the likes of British Airways and Telefonica are using and therefore are able to communicate and collaborate in the same way.
At the event at iCentrum, part of the Innovation Birmingham Campus, Urfaan said: ‘It’s so great to be talking to these people and helping them. It’s such an exciting time. They could be a household name in five years and they don’t even realise it. The potential is wonderful.’
