Mobile Fun, an online global retailer of mobile accessories, has announced that it is expanding its technical team to support the company’s growing website portfolio and new mobile site. The team expansion follows the recent opening of a second office in Birmingham Science Park Aston and launch of new international websites.
Mobile Fun’s workforce has already dramatically expanded since the new office opening, and the company now has over 100 employees in six countries.
The company has a graduate programme and openings for experienced developers.
Mohammed Hussain, Managing Director of Mobile Fun, commented: “Our websites are award winning. Their success is testament to our extremely talented e-commerce, marketing and development teams, who work together to bring over 8,500 accessories within easy reach of our customers.”
The retailer is growing its technical team with new positions available immediately for five PHP Web Developers. The roles offer the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects supporting the expansion of Mobile Fun’s global portfolio of websites, as well as the many back-end systems required to maintain and support an expanding e-commerce business.
Hussain continued: “With our expansion to Birmingham Science Park Aston, we expect to attract talented developers from the growing number of e-commerce, digital and gaming businesses based there. We believe that Birmingham needs to attract and retain new graduates as well as experienced developers by offering opportunities in dynamic and growing companies. That’s where we are leading the way in online retail – Mobile Fun is part of an exciting generation of Birmingham businesses that are competing on the world stage in the e-commerce sector.”
The city’s science park, innovation campus and universities produce a high-quality pool of talent, and Mobile Fun is keen to encourage computing graduates to stay in the Midlands, and join the company as enters an exciting phase in its global expansion.
With a portfolio of 30+ international websites and offices in six international locations, Mobile Fun offers a host of opportunities to developers, whether candidates are recent graduates or commercially experienced.
