Young British entrepreneur takes on the might of America, in his first enterprise after corporate life.
Ben Nimmo founded SocialSignIn back in 2011 after leaving his job at a big firm for getting in trouble over bringing a toaster into the work place. This rebellious streak is the catalyst he is using to take on the global giants of the social media world.
Since January 2012 Ben has been developing a new kind of social media tool that will help business make the most of their social media.
The idea came from working as a programmer and finding the solutions he was developing didn’t fit the needs of multi-user accounts or produce useful data. So like all good entrepreneurs he saw a gap and went for it.
The ethos behind SocialSignIn is a simple one, monitor and manage all your social channels from one dashboard saving time and energy for the marketing department. The built-in social policy also helps protect the brand online.
There are a number of solutions already on the market mainly from the US but where SocialSignIn stands out is in its geographical targeting and ROI stats. The delivery of reports in plain English is also a great selling point for the mainly British audience.
Many brands use social media but have no real idea whether it is worth the time and energy. SocialSignIn tracks your tweets and likes and can determine whether these convert to sales and sign-ups; ultimately giving users an idea of the real Return on Investment.
A number of businesses are already using the tool as Ben explains, ‘The companies who are signed up to SocialSignIn say they really like the simplicity of one, combined inbox They say it helps them communicate and engage with users with less time and effort than using the social channels individually.’
Giles Cooper from INOUT magazine is a convert and said of the system, ‘Socialsignin is a really simple solution for us to manage INOUTs social accounts. All our employees use it to build a bigger social brand.’
SocialSignIn are based in the Entrepreneurs for the Future (e4f) Incubator, Innovation Birmingham Campus.
e4f.Incubator helps innovative technology start-ups to launch, develop and grow their businesses in the West Midlands.
