West Midlands RIC invites Innovator Catalyst Coach applications

The West Midlands Regional Innovation Centre is looking for two coaches for the Climate-KIC Innovator Catalyst. The programme will see participants from across Europe coming together to understand and come up with solutions to some of the key low carbon challenges that society faces today.

The theme of this year’s Innovator Catalyst is ‘Decarbonising Buildings’ – with a focus on domestic buildings – and is aimed at people from all sectors who are already working in this space.  It is an opportunity to bring people from varied locations and backgrounds to discuss the barriers and challenges in reducing the carbon footprint of the built environment, to share ideas for addressing these and to work on plans for implementation.

The programme is built around a series of seminars and site visits. These will involve presentations from local councils, housing authorities, research institutes, businesses and others on current best practice. Connections between the seminars will be drawn together through break-outs and workshops, guided by the Coaches. They will also support the learning and reflection processes for participants, catalysing their understanding of issues brought up in the programme and developing relationships between them.

If you think this sounds like you, please read the full person specification before sending a CV and covering letter to: andrew.todd@warwick.ac.uk. The covering letter should describe how you meet the job and person specifications, and some initial thoughts on how you can make a unique impact on the Innovator Catalyst programme. The deadline for indication of interest is midnight on Monday 2nd June 2014. Suitable candidates may then be required to attend an interview at the Innovation Birmingham Campus.
