Arden University, experts in online and flexible learning, has embarked on a joint venture with Innovation Birmingham-based Digital Native UK to deliver degree apprenticeships.
Digital Native UK offers high quality tech and IT apprenticeships that are designed to fit around its learners. The new joint degree apprenticeship, known as Digital and Technology Solutions, is designed to help employers upskill new and existing employees. The vocational work-focused degree will be delivered by Arden University via its online learning facility and is supported by face to face coaching.
This partnership will provide an invaluable mix of knowledge and industry expertise and provides learners with the necessary skills to progress their career whilst being coached by industry experts.
Stacey Allen, Director of Corporate Partnerships at Arden University said: “Work-based learning is playing a significant role in addressing the current skills gap. By partnering with Digital Native UK, we can help businesses grow and retain its existing talent but also help diversify career choices beyond the traditional university degree.”
Martin Stilgoe, Director of Digital Native UK commented: “We’re committed to creating opportunities across the UK and see real value in expanding our current offering through this new partnership. We are currently facing a growing skills shortage and look forward to using this new partnership to help bridge the gap.”
Digital Native UK is currently enrolling for a specialist programme launching in October, with places still available here.
Learners are required to take three days out of the workplace per month to complete the degree apprenticeship over the duration of three years.
Arden University also offer degree apprenticeships in MBA and Chartered Management, in addition to a range of distance or blended learning courses. Many of their courses are career-focused and are often accredited by professional bodies.
