Innovation Birmingham-based Digital Native UK is set to leverage its new degree apprenticeships programme delivered as part of a recent collaboration with Arden University.
Offering high quality tech and IT apprenticeships, Digital Native will provide flexible Degree Apprenticeships, covering disciplines including data, software development and IT Consultancy from January 2019.
The programme will be bolstered by the launch of a new series of monthly lectures kicking off at Innovation Birmingham’s multi-million-pound iCentrum building from January 16th. Digital Native will be accepting cohorts of the region’s most promising young talent every quarter thereafter.
The new joint initiative has been designed to help employers upskill new and existing employees. Closing the gap between local businesses and talented individuals, this partnership will provide a mix of knowledge and industry expertise and provides learners with the necessary skills to progress their career whilst being coached by industry experts.
Martin Stilgoe, Director of Digital Native UK commented: “We’re committed to creating opportunities across the region and see real value in expanding our current offering through this new partnership. We are currently facing a growing digital skills shortage and look forward to using this new partnership to help bridge the gap.”
Learners are only required to take three days out of the workplace per month to complete the degree apprenticeships over the duration of three years.
Arden University also offers degree apprenticeships in MBA and Chartered Management, in addition to a range of distance or blended learning courses. Many of their courses are career-focused and are often accredited by professional bodies.
